Frida Mexican Cuisine is an authentic, artisanal and traditional Mexican cuisine. Their food is hand-crafted daily from scratch. The restaurant combines traditional Mexican cuisine with a modern dining environment. Frida is the first restaurant in Los Angeles to receive the T Certificate Award by The Tequila Regulatory Council from Mexico. This verifies that they only serve tequilas that have passed all quality standards to ensure their customers enjoy only the best tequila in the world.
Frida offers great breakfast foods like huevos rancheros which is a traditional Mexican breakfast dish made with sunny side up eggs served on top up of a corn tortilla with salsa ranchera and a side of refried beans. Another great breakfast option is their chilaquiles which is crispy corn tortillas tossed with green, red or mole sauce and then topped with shredded chicken, sour cream and eggs.
Their especialidades portion of the menu include their burrito mazatlan which is a burrito with sautéed shrimp in a Guajillo-Orange sauce, with lettuce, guacamole and caramelized onion with rice and beans. Their chile relleno is another great option which is a poblano chile stuffed with queso fresco and topped with ranchera sauce and served with rice and beans.
In addition, they offer all the traditional types of tacos that everyone loves including norteñas, camaróon, pollo, carnitas, al pastor, and baja style fish tacos. They also offer various meals centered around mole which is a traditional Mexican chocolate sauce. In addition, they have various carne meals, mariscos (seafood) and ceviches.
