AVRA Beverly Hills is the west coast version of New York City’s famous authentic Greek restaurant Avra Madison Estiatorio. Located in the “Golden Triangle” on N Beverly Dr between Rodeo Dr and The Maybourne Beverly Hills, AVRA Beverly Hills is designed by award-winning architecture and design firm Rockwell Group. The concept of the restaurant creates a similar atmosphere to that of an open-air villa in Greece. They have fresh lemon trees, bougainvillea, imported limestone, and stone washed walls. The restaurant is 11,000 square feet, with private spaces for all types of events, and features traditional Greek cuisine with their specialty being fresh seafood that is flown in daily from the mediterranean.

How long has the Beverly Hills location of Avra been open for?
Our location has been open for three years now.
How many Avra locations are there?
There are three total. One here and two in New York.
Where do you get most of your customers from?
We get mostly locals, but we do get a good amount of people from other cities and countries. Due to COVID-19 tourism has gone down a bit but we are still doing well! We are still getting a lot of reservations from locals.
Have you taken advantage of the OpenBH program so you can get access to additional outdoor seating?
Yes, we have! We were getting an overwhelming amount of requests for reservations so we needed to get some additional outdoor space to accommodate those requests. We have extended our area onto part of the sidewalk. Planters are bordering the additional outdoor area and it overall fits in with Avra’s aesthetic.
What is the most popular menu item?
Our fish by the pound is definitely very popular. It is flown in daily from the Mediterranean. As for appetizers, the Avra chips, octopus, and Greek salad are also very popular.
What’s your personal favorite item on the menu?
The octopus, Greek salad, and the charbroiled grilled fish are all great!
Is there a fun or interesting fact about Avra?
We bring our fish in daily from the Mediterranean. We also bring guests to pick out their fish from a fish display to be cooked. We elevate the Greek cuisine. We attract not only locals but celebrities as well.
